It gives you shelves sized to the chamber and posts in several heights, so you can load and fire as soon as the kiln is set up.

What's in the kit

6 half-round shelves, 19" x 9" x 1" (3 layers, 2 per layer)

6 each of 3", 6", 9" and 12" large square posts

1 lb bag of kiln wash

How the pieces are used

Shelves: stack them in layers on the posts to use the full height of the kiln. Half shelves let you mix tall and short pieces on the same level.

Posts: set three or four posts under each shelf, at a height a little above your tallest piece. Mixing heights gives you flexible layouts for each load.

Kiln wash: paint it on the top of the shelves only (not the edges or underside). It stops glaze drips from bonding to the shelf, so a drip can be scraped off instead of ruining it.

Why buy the kit

Every piece is sized for this kiln, so you don't have to measure shelves or work out post heights.

If you order it with your kiln, it arrives with the kiln and you can fire on day one.

Kilns this fits

Olympic Kilns 2327G Updraft Gas Kiln

Olympic Kilns 2331G Updraft Gas Kiln

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0982/5579/8605/files/OlympicKilns23_RakuGas-UpdraftFurnitureKit_b1d50ad1-1e36-49cc-b40c-106fb1ce19e6.jpg?v=1792683551
